Department of Motor Traffic is part of the Department of Transport which is one of the Departments of Government of Kerala. This department handles all vehicle legal matters, including vehicle permits, vehicle registration, driving licenses and taxes.[2] The department also enforces the Central Motor Vehicle Department laws in the state.
