Sorry, I was told that AOL Time Warner bought CBS Inc., but apparently it was Spun Off and Infinity now owns CBS. Thanx From The Bronx for the updater. Mucho Apeciado! Supercool Dude.

Apparently I heard different from the news or I was confused by the reports. Thanx for the info.

I thought WFAN was still part of GE.

So did GE sell the RCA name to Thomson?

Where do all the deleted pages go to?

Are they all saved somewhere or erased completely?

sorry about the WABC thing - i had put "New York City flagship" thing because i thought putting where the station is located was important - TCN-9 has "is the Sydney flagship station of the Nine Network" - must be an Australian English thing. PMA 22:26, 5 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Golden Nugget

[edit]

I didn't fix the link itself. You added it as landrysrestaurants.com, so if you earlier had a different URL that didn't work, you yourself are the one who gets the credit for finding and fixing the error! All I did was in the descriptive phrase after the URL -- you had the typo of "acquition" in place of "acquisition". JamesMLane 13:16, 6 Feb 2005 (UTC)

HTML

[edit]

HTML is seldom if ever needed in editing Wikipedia pages, as the Wiki code covers pretty much everything needed. See the Wikipedia:Tutorial (Formatting) and associated pages if you need more specific information. Cheers, -- Infrogmation June 28, 2005 17:54 (UTC)

Budweiser

[edit]

Hi. See Talk:Budweiser, let's see if we can agree on the best way to word things there. I've been unaware that there was any serious dispute that the Czech beer was the older brew known as "Budweiser"; if there's some debate I'm eagar to learn more. Cheers, -- Infrogmation June 29, 2005 16:44 (UTC)

Profanity

[edit]

Hi Rick: IT is no more acceptable use profanity like this in edit summaries than it is in articles. Please do not do it again. —Theo (Talk) 7 July 2005 20:19 (UTC)

Megan Griffin

[edit]

Why did you revert my edit on the Megan Griffin article [1]? All that did was remove the word "leaked", which as you noted yourself is true. -SpuriousQ 08:34, 8 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, the thing is you didn't actually delete the spoiler itself; you just deleted the word "leaked" (see the diff above). Furthermore, I disagree with the decision to remove the spoiler b/c it shouldn't matter whether the DVD has been released yet as long as we state it is a leaked release. -SpuriousQ 20:54, 8 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Chicago "Board of Aldermen"?

[edit]

I'm from Chicago, and I've never heard the term "Board of Aldermen" used for the legislative body of city government. It sounds strange to me. In Illinois state law and in common practice, it is always referred to as the "City Council." Where exactly on the City of Chicago's website (http://www.cityofchicago.org) did you find that the official term is "Board of Aldermen?" I would like to know. When I looked on the website, it was always referred to as the City Council as well. -Wikiman86 02:15, 29 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Jon Corzine Senate Seat

[edit]

You may very well be right about Corzine's replacement, and I have no idea where to find the definitive answer. The reason I assume that there is no special election in Novermber, 2006 is that Jon Corzine's current term in the United States Senate ends in January 2007. I don't understand why a special election would be needed for his seat, but stranger things have happened. Alansohn 00:39, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • see [2], an article from earlier this week in the Asbury Park Press discussing Codey's non-pursuit of the seat. The article, via the Associated Press, seems to indicate that Corzine's choice would serve the one-year left on the Senate term, and that the election next November would be the regular race foe the next term. That's how I've been reading the dozens of articles on the subject and that's why i worded my wikipedia edits in that way. Does this help address the issue? Paradise

[edit]

About my bot's edit to Las Vegas, Nevada. You are saying that Paradise is not a township (United States), but it's still a township? I thought it was a survey township? --Commander Keane 21:42, 30 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
