I have been part of this community for a long time. I'm proud of my contributions here. I've interacted with a lot of great people. This is a great project with a lot of great people. Such a small group has done a tremendous amount.

I am, for the most part, leaving Wikipedia. I no longer have faith in its community governance, or the direction of its general anarchy, an anarchy that I love. I'm leaving because I don't have the patience to deal with certain aspects and tendencies of this community. I'm not nihilistic about its path, but just disappointed.

I may occasionally reappear to curate a small group of articles I was involved in, when necessary. Hopefully in time this will be unnecessary. Beyond that, my substantial editing is over. I wish this project all the best, as I do to all the great editors I've worked with in my time here.
