Hunt (Korean: 헌트; RR: Heonteu) is an upcoming South Korean spy action film directed by Lee Jung-jae in his directorial debut, starring Lee and Jung Woo-sung. It was invited to the non-competitive Midnight Screening section at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.[1][2]
Synopsis
In the 1980s, when the military dictatorship reached its peak, Park Pyong-ho (Lee Jung-jae) and Kim Jeong-do (Jung Woo-sung), ace agents of National Security Agency face a huge truth as they pursue a North Korean spy chief in South.
Cast
- Lee Jung-jae as Park Pyung-ho, the deputy head of the Ministry of Security and Public Administration.[3]
- Jung Woo-sung as Kim Jung-do, a colleague and rival of Park Pyung-ho[4]
- Jeon Hye-jin as Bang Joo-kyung, an agent of the National Security Agency who works with Jung Woo-sung.[5]
- Heo Sung-tae as Jang Cheol-seong, an agent of the 2nd team of the National Security Agency.[6]
- Go Yoon-jung as Jo Yoo-jeong, a student who gets caught up in a huge incident.[7]

Production
Filming began on May 8, 2021 and concluded on November 13, 2021.[9][10]
Release
The film will premiere at the 75th Cannes Film Festival in May 2022.[1]
