Reapplying for AfC perms after being inactive for a while. I have many months of solid experience reviewing AfC drafts and am also currently active at NPR. — Sagotreespirit (talk) 06:23, 23 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hey @Sagotreespirit, just wanted to let you know that you don't have to go through a separate application process for AfC participation anymore. All new page reviewers are automatically approved for Articles for Creation draft reviewing now. – DreamRimmer (talk) 13:14, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Reason for requesting afc helper script rights: I think I meet the criteria. I want to investigate a review, and see how the helper works. I'm not sure how many reviews I'll end up doing, but I may do some. R. S. Shaw (talk) 20:05, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Reasons for requesting afc helper script rights are:
  • I have been contributing to Wikimedia Projects for almost 5 years including but not limited to Wikipedia, Wiki Commons, Wikidata, WikiSource, WikiVoyage etc and for the time I have been involved in Wikimedia activities both national and international, I have not seen a reviewer especially in regions like East And Central Africa and I am applying to contribute to the dissemination of accurate and reliable information to the global audience.
  • I am applying to ensure the regional content is accurately represented and that Local notable topics, culture, history and personalities receive proper recognition on a global platform. Several our fellow Wikimedians' contents from around these regions because people that review some this contents don't have a perspective of this regions topics and editors perspectives.Micheal Kaluba (talk) 07:15, 2 November 2023 (UTC) Micheal Kaluba (talk) 07:15, 2 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Probation, which will be evaluated in 3-6 months. Being on probation only means that you can be removed from the list for any reason without prior discussion. Noting for anyone curious that this is more due to the accepted drafts than anything. Borderline case for me but I am erring on the side of lessons learned. Primefac (talk) 15:48, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have fulfilled the minimum criteria, read and understood the rules, got experience in AfD, and I am ready to contribute to wikipedia review of articles for submission. I would also like to participate in November drive. F.Alexsandr (talk) 22:18, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Probation, which will be evaluated in 3-6 months. Being on probation only means that you can be removed from the list for any reason without prior discussion. Lack of AFD experience is somewhat mitigated by the accepted draft count. Primefac (talk) 15:48, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm interested in getting involved with AfC, especially for the current backlog drive. I'm experienced with evaluating notability, both at AfD and in creating my own articles. ~ L 🌸 (talk) 23:02, 3 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have a pending AfC request, and figured that I could help pay things forward with clearing the backlog of other articles by handling some of the easier NN declines & providing feedback, leaving experienced folks more time to deal with things closer to the line. I've been around on and off since 2005, have ECP, occasionally patrol ECP requests, and have participated at AfD before. I am aware that I fall slightly short of the 500 mainspace edits count, so will gracefully accept not being approved yet if it's a hard requirement. lizthegrey (talk) 01:04, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that I've met the criteria for joining the AFC process. I currently have created 7 articles (4 of which went onto DYK) and I think I'm generally aware of most of the basic guidelines for AFC to help out with reviewing new articles by others. I've begun starting articles in my userspace as opposed to starting a stub and x5ing it later, and I'd like to publish them and fill out other bits in one. Launchballer 14:10, 8 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Not done, AFCH is not for publishing one's own drafts; AFC is not a requirement and you are welcome to create user sandboxes and move them to article space when they are ready. Primefac (talk) 12:39, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have always wanted to work at AfC but thought it was better to become a NPPR instead. It turns out it is the other way round. I have good knowledge of the article creation process. I am a member of the Guild of Copy Editors and the Lead Improvement Team so I know the MOS and lead stuff like the back of my hand. I like working on Articles that need lots of improvement so I think AfC is the perfect place for me! JacobTheRox (talk) 10:55, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Not done, fails minimum requirements. Primefac (talk) 12:38, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Reason for requesting AFC helper script rights: I wanted to help in reviewing articles and creating redirects. I have a good understanding of deletion and reviewing policies (in case of reviewing, instructions) and I understood how a subject would be notable. I tried to use AFCH but it denied access, stating that I have to be in the list of participants, which unfortunately the main page is protected. I am now requesting it to reduce the current backlog in the category. I wish God would bless the administrator(s) who accept/decline my request. Thank you for reading this. I've helped two articles get to mainspace from AFC, (one of which becoming a DYK, and regularly participate in AFD. Please note that it'll take me a bit to learn how to interact with newer users. Mach61 (talk) 14:40, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I wish to become an AfC reviewer. Plus, I decided I needed a bit more time examining these things when I couldn't participate in the last AfC drive, and I don't want to miss the next.Remsense 18:26, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am interested in helping review articles to see if they are constructive or not. I have worked hard to help revert vandalism on Wikipedia, and if I participate in this, I will be able to check newly submitted pages and try to help improve Wikipedia. I also feel like I have a solid understanding of how the pages work as I have read the criteria and seen what the PROD, XFD, and other buttons do on Twinkle. Reverting vandalism alone is not going to be enough for me, as I do also want to check for any inadequate sources in pages or make sure the pages don't attack editors. Thank you. NPR (Dec)

I've been editing for nearly fifteen years and am very familiar with Wikipedia's content policies. I am fairly familiar with AfD and have contributed to a discussion or two. I've also recently run a draft through AfC (despite being extended-confirmed) to better familiarize myself with its policies and procedures firsthand. I have interacted well with other users, moved and merged pages, and have received no sanctions in my history. My contributions on Commons, while infrequent, also demonstrate a knowledge of copyright policy, which is useful in reviewing drafts for creation which I'm sure can sometimes be heavily plagiarized or copied from outside sources. Want to contribute in reducing the backlog. Very confident in my grasp of the rules, and want to apply my knowledge to the AfC backlog. Very familiar with NPOV, notability, WP:RS, MoS and policy /essays

Feel very confident in judging suitability for Wikipedia. Have created over 25 BLPs, none of which were deleted, and earned Auto-patroled. I'd like to help lower the backlog, and think I can swiftly make determinations with surgical accuracy as to whether something passes or fails wikipedias guidlines and policies. I believe I can use my grip on the policies of Wikipedia to help efficiently drive the backlog down. PD Slessor (talk) 06:58, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Not done for largely the same reasons as your declined NPR request. You have been participating in AfD for a total of two days and only began participating after applying for NPR perms. The duplicate request above doesn't inspire confidence either. I think you should focus on improving mainspace content rather than acquiring new user rights for the foreseeable future. Spicy (talk) 12:20, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
ok, should I not apply again? @Spicy PD Slessor (talk) 19:49, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
My line of thinking was that, when wanting to help contribute outside of high standard creations and edits, I could help review. I respect your judgement, but I didn't think AfD participation was a requirement, the requirements only mentioned it was preferred. I have experience in page creation, and sometimes, I get writers block or spend a lot of time looking for places to add value. Although if you feel this is the final answer, I will respect it. Not sure why there was a dual request. Apologies. @Spicy PD Slessor (talk) 20:01, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Reason for requesting afc helper script rights: I think I meet the criteria. I want to investigate a review, and see how the helper works. I have been on wikipedia for a while and created many articles. K-Pop contributor (✍️📚) 04:21, 15 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure how much CSD has to do with an evaluation for AFC but you just tagged a draft for speedy deletion G13 that was just created a week ago. You'll have to be more up-to-date on your knowledge of speedy deletion criteria and when they apply if you are going to be reviewing drafts. You can't make a mistake like this twice, especially for a new editor who had only made 2 edits. This was not only incorrect it was also bitey. Liz Read! Talk! 05:08, 15 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The draft on the topic already exists so while tagging i tagged another tag K-Pop contributor (✍️📚) 13:30, 15 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what this even means. Are you saying that you placed the wrong CSD tag on this draft? Because I can't think of another speedy deletion criteria that would have been appropriate for Draft:Yeji. Liz Read! Talk! 00:17, 16 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Reason for requesting afc helper script rights: I've been involved in Wikipedia for 4 years, I've proposed and discussed AFDs and submitted AFCs, as well as being quite active in edit requests as of lately, I'd like to help with the AFC backlog in any way I can, thank you :) Lewcm Talk to me! 20:34, 15 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'll be honest. I registered for creating a few pages about cryptocurrency industry (TO THE MOON!) and some Ukraine-related fame things. I created a few pages, but some of them was removed even if I disagree. I not insulted, I just lose trust in community where my good faith no appreciated and good work at draft rejected without leaving any comment. In parallel I see Bybit, XDC Network and many other articles which obviosly doing bad things such as promotion, pure COI and any violations. Even when I notice editors that they are violate anything - they enter "Undo" and continue. I feel alone. I want to get right to review for example Draft:XDC Network and and similar articles which I met rarely. I not promise be daily active, Wiki is just my new hobby. Open to suggestions. I meet the requirements and have published multiple articles, and I have read the instructions for AfC and would like to begin participating in AfC.

Hello, Antonio Vinzaretti,
Just curious, are you only interested in reviewing articles on certain subjects that you are interested in? Or in the general process of reviewing drafts and helping bring down the backlog? Liz Read! Talk! 04:20, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for question. It's a new tool to me. I think I can be useful only regarding politics and economics. Cryptocurrencies industry just my hobby like videogames to someone, but I think I am expert too on it. So at least I want just do the AfC work properly. So I received exp where reviewers even not want properly review anything. I want to show how it should works. I still believe in the community. Antonio Vinzaretti (talk) 18:53, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You seem more deserving of a CIR block. You come here to complain that you want to push your hobbies and so want permission to override the draft system? Your talk page evinces that you don't understand/ don't care about article requirements, so I oppose you being given any user permissions. Chris Troutman (talk) 19:33, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I not insist. Antonio Vinzaretti (talk) 13:03, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It is not about "helping bring down the backlog?", It is about quality. For example, who reviewed Bybit, which violated many guidelines? I even won't approve anything, just declining draft which close to WP:ONEEVENT and WP:MIL and inform authors by comments to extend articles. It is my style and point of view. If Wiki doesn't need me, I don't care. It was fun. Antonio Vinzaretti (talk) 19:41, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've wanted to help review drafts for quite some time now and clear the backlog. I've read and reviewed the instructions on how to review, and I have a bit of experience in various aspects of editing Wikipedia.
