Blue discharge

Re: Blue discharge. You're welcome to add a ref/source in the lead if you must, but do not put in a MOS-violating citation text when the content seems very well-sourced in the body of the text which is allowed by MOS:LEADCITE in general. Given the stable version of the page, you should argue for why the tag is needed. Thanks! Skynxnex (talk) 04:58, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I should argue why sources are needed? Jesus Christ, man. 2603:6011:5905:4B01:44BD:2223:B2E0:48B0 (talk) 05:01, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's cited in the body:
22.23% of all blue discharges, whereas African Americans constituted 6.5% of the Army at the relevant time. to McGuire, Phillip, ed. (1993). Taps for a Jim Crow Army: Letters from Black Soldiers in World War II. Lexington: University Press of Kentucky. ISBN 0-8131-0822-5. Skynxnex (talk) 05:06, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The source needs to be in the lede. This is standard procedure. 2603:6011:5905:4B01:44BD:2223:B2E0:48B0 (talk) 05:12, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It does not. template:Citation needed "when not to use this template" section:

"Within a lead section that is clearly written as a summary of a substantially sourced article, statements that are supported with citations within the body of the article should not be tagged, statements that are not supported in the article body should be tagged with [not verified in body]."

Try reading that one again, genius. 2603:6011:5905:4B01:44BD:2223:B2E0:48B0 (talk) 05:35, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe we're all insane, but I will tell you one thing, your sweet-talking ways towards people here and also on their talk pages are not appreciated. Bringingthewood (talk) 05:47, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You used "sweet-talking" in a really weird way. 2603:6011:5905:4B01:44BD:2223:B2E0:48B0 (talk) 05:50, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
But you understood it though. Enjoy your editing and thanks for the easy reading.  ;) Bringingthewood (talk) 05:54, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Blue discharge. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Skynxnex (talk) 05:16, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
