General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Hungary (Hungarian: Magyar Köztársaság Honvéd Vezérkara) is a joint body organised within the Ministry of Defence.
It is responsible for development, organisation, and equipping, training and functioning of the first strategic echelon (stand-by forces) and the other strategic echelon (reserve).
Chief of General Staff
The Chief of General Staff heads the General Staff. The current Chief of the Staff is Colonel General Tibor Benkő.
