The book
Asterix Annual 1980 is a special Asterix book. It contains a few games, abridged versions of a few Asterix comics and Asterix Conquers Rome.
Publisher and release date
It was published by World and Whitman, on 1 January 1979 and released in a comic book annual in London in 1980.
Creation of the Annual
Many publishers rejected the publication of Asterix Conquers Rome, till 1979,when Bell and Hockridge got the idea of creating the annual, by adding a few games, abridged versions of a few Asterix comics along with Asterix Conquers Rome. Thus, Asterix Conquers Rome couldn't be sold seperately and the Annual was formed.
