Naming

[edit]

This topic is not about a fort. It is about the capture of a fort. Wouldn't it be more appropriate if the name is moved to Capture of Fort Al Mirani Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 12:45, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

PHG will probably have something more informed to say, but my uninformed impression would be that there ought to be quite a lot could be written about a large, imposing fort which has stood in an important location for over four centuries. If you feed "Fort Al-Mirani" to Google Books it finds some sources which look promising on things other than the 1552 siege. Searching for Arabic or Turkish sources is, alas, far beyond me.
