Do they still play cricket? --Drgs100 12:31, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

no, they don't

(6-6-2009) Yes they do. An amatorial cricket section has been recently resurrected, it currently plies its trade in the Italian Cricket League Serie B. Website: http://www.genoacricket1893.com/

Genoa derrived from "knee"??? It's entirely possible that the italian name of the city (Genova) is derrived from the latin word of knee, but that is totally missing the point. Genoa is spellt without the "v" as the British founders gave the club an English name, hence the english spelling of the city. I've edited the origin of the (English) name of the club and deleted the derrivation of the (Italian) name of the city (wich should be in the article about the city). -- --sebisthlm 19:45, 9 May 2007

Dates & dashes

[edit]

En dashes should be used in scorelines and only full dates and dates with a day and month should be wikilinked, including in the footnotes. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style (dashes) and Wikipedia:Manual of Style (dates and numbers). Epbr123 20:47, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On 12 February 2009 a number of changes have been made by an unidentified user (IP address: 83.197.152.212) that included personal commentaries, inaccuracies and gossip without providing any form of reference or substantiated support. The changes were written in poor English and made the existing paragraphs difficult to read or altogether misleading.

I propose that an eye is kept on this article to prevent personal opinions and to maintain a format that is as impartial and substantiated as possible. Psgc (talk) 15:13, 3 March 2009 (UTC)psgc[reply]

As of 6-6-2009 there are people filling the article, especially its first paragraph, with meaningless stats and data aimed at lessening Genoa's achievements. It's probably a matter of city rivalry. Keep an eye on it.
