Non-Encylopedic Content

[edit]

Removed this paragraph, because it doesn't seem encylopedic in any way:

In recent years Casady has had a change of philosophy about the role the bass should play in presenting a song, and though he continues to play melodically, he now prefers to play in support of a song rather than to use a song as a platform for demonstrating his virtuosity of his instrument. As a result, though his mastery has not diminished with time, his sound is no longer as foregrounded or as grand as it once was—by choice. JoeD80 (talk) 00:03, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Instruments and sound

[edit]

There really should be a referenced section covering Casady's bass guitars, equipment and the sound they produce. In addition, those listed in the infobox also need a reference if they really are "notable" instruments. Notability in other areas of musicianship can be found here: WP:NMUSIC. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 13:28, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reciprocity with Jack Cassidy

[edit]

The Wikipedia article on Jack Cassidy (a somewhat alcoholic actor who died in a fire after being a Repeat Offender on the Columbo TV-series, also after being a sometime husband of Shirley Jones thus making her a sometime stepmother of Cassidy's son David Cassidy famous from TV as Keith in "The Partridge Family" in which aforementioned Jones portrayed Keith's biological mother) begins with a reference to THIS article on Jack Casady. But this article on Jack Casady doesn't contain the mirror-image reference ("not to be confused with" etc.) to the article on Jack Cassidy. I would have assumed that such "not to be confused" references are programmed to be reciprocal. Why aren't they?2600:1700:6759:B000:E894:BFCC:705D:880 (talk) 08:12, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Christopher Lawrence Simpson[reply]

I've added a hatnote to this article, as you've suggested. Mudwater (Talk) 08:59, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
