Date of Wife's Death

[edit]

This article gives Saturday 11 September 1875 (Young Tom Morris#Personal life and death). However the Open that year seems to have been on 10 September and "Tommy Morris’ wife had tragically died during child-birth only six days earlier, so naturally, none of the Morris family took part in the Championship." (http://www.theopen.com/en/History/PreviousOpens/Prestwick/1875.aspx?eventid=1875000&view=year). So Saturday 4 September 1875 seems more likely. Some sources give this date (eg http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2010/jul/18/young-tom-morris-wife-death). Nigej (talk) 15:48, 13 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
