Kommentar this is clearly notable in the context of the local area and in terms of crossings of the Thames and so should not be straight deleted. Merging to be part of a larger article is the obvious alternative, but it's not immediately clear what the target would be as it crosses the border between two parishes and communities and so does not fit cleanly in either. Possibly it could be moved to Water Eaton, Wiltshire a former settlement now just a farm (c.f. Latton, Wiltshire#Eysey) which it is already partly about (the manor and weir). attests also. It could be merged to a section at Latton, Wiltshire but I favour that less as it isn't in that parish. Thryduulf (talk) 11:35, 12 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The purpose of the notability criteria are to establish which topics should have stand-alone articles, and I agree this does not meet that threshold. However there does exist subjects, and this is an example, that are not notable enough for a standalone article, but are notable enough that they should be included as part of an article about a larger topic. Members of notable finite sets (in this case crossings of the River Thames), even if not notable themselves, should be mentioned somewhere and the title should be a blue link. Redirect to List of crossings of the River Thames. If there are multiple significant sources covering the manor house site that could be covered elsewhere independent of this discussion, but that and the weir seem totally irrelevant to the footbridge. Redirect to List of crossings of the River Thames#Oxford to Cricklade as this is the section in which the bridge is listed. It's the title we're redirecting not the content. As User:Reywas92 points out most of the article content is not about the bridge. The content could be merged to Latton, Wiltshire as current mapping of civil parish boundaries shows the bridge and farmhouse to be wholly within this parish — the article looks to be referencing two Church of England ecclesiastical parishes.
