Elite Leagues & Organizations

[edit]

The initiative aims to create and sustain articles about every national premier league and championship, resulting in a broad perspective on women’s ice hockey across the globe.

Leagues with their own initiative pages

[edit]

At the moment, only a few of the top-tier international leagues have a substantial enough number of articles to justify their own initiative pages. The goal is to support additional, league-specific initiatives in the future by building up the number and quality of articles for other leagues.

Articles to be created

[edit]

League and championship articles are top priority. Team, season, and other supplemental articles can be added when sufficient source material exists for the topic to independently meet WP:GNG.

List of elite leagues by country

[edit]

This list is quite incomplete. Please add any missing information or data as appropriate. The list is intended to include the top women’s ice hockey leagues from around the world, ie. national championship leagues (SDHL, Naisten Liiga, SWHL A, WJIHL, etc), top international leagues (NWHL, ZhHL, etc), and leagues for which the calibre of play is broadly considered elite (NCAA DI, etc)
