Sonic Adventure 2 (Battle) is a 2001/2002 video game for the Sega Dreamcast and GameCube. It is also a sequel to Sonic Adventure. It was later released as a downloadable game for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows in October 2012.

- I plan to give you a taste of my revenge, once all the seven Chaos Emeralds are collected. Once I initiate this program, it cannot be disabled. All of you ungrateful humans who took everything away from me, will feel my loss, and despair!

- Shadow: That blue hedgehog again of all places...
- Sonic: I've found you, faker!
- Shadow: Faker? I think you're the fake hedgehog around here. You're comparing yourself to me? Ha! You're not even good enough to be my fake!
- Sonic: I'll make you eat those words!
- Shadow: There's no time to play games. You won't even get the chance!
- Sonic: You can't get away this time! There's only one real Sonic!
- [The battle between Sonic and Shadow begins.]
Dark Story

[edit]- Rouge: Just... let it go! You just don’t know what to give up, do you?
- Knuckles: What are you talking about? That Emerald is mine! You got that? The Master Emerald contains special powers that neutralize the Chaos Emeralds. That makes it very powerful... What the!?
- Rouge: Wha... Thief!
- Knuckles: Look who's calling who a thief.
- [The thief turns out to be none other than Eggman, who has come to steal the Master Emerald just like he did in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles.]
- Eggman: I came here following the signal from the Emerald. If I'm not mistaken, this is the Master Emerald, is it not?
- Knuckles: It's you, Dr. Eggman!
- Rouge: So, that's Dr. Eggman.
- Eggman: Well, I guess I can use it for something. I'll just take it with me. [He prepares to leave with the Master Emerald, taunting Knuckles in the process.] Farewell, Knucklehead!
- Knuckles: Not if I can help it!
- [He launches himself after Eggman and shatters the Master Emerald to prevent the mad scientist from stealing it.]
- Eggman: What?!
- [Rouge is horrified at what she just saw and angrily grabs Knuckles by the shoulders and shakes him violently.]
- Rouge: What was that all about?! And look what you did to my Emerald!
- Knuckles: I did that to prevent the Master Emerald from being stolen, you idiot! If it's in pieces, I can restore it. And by the way, that's not your Emerald.
- Eggman: [to himself as he leaves] Doesn't matter. I'll look into it once I get back to the base.
- [Rouge watches Eggman leave, then turns back to Knuckles, still fuming about what he did to the Master Emerald.]
- Rouge: I despise anyone who takes jewels from me! All the world's gems are mine to keep!
- Knuckles: Yeah, we'll see about that, Bat Girl!
- [With that, Knuckles and Rouge begin their respective quests to search for the Master Emerald Shards to restore the Master Emerald. Knuckles travels to Wild Canyon while Rouge heads for Dry Lagoon.]
- Eggman: Shadow, what are you doing? Hurry and get back here right now before the island blows up with you on it!
- Sonic: Blows up!? [Shadow, after hearing this, leaves Green Forest and begins to escape from Prison Island before the Eggman Bomboms detonate and destroy the whole island, leaving the Blue Blur to plan his own escape from the island.] I've gotta get outta here and find Amy and Tails right away!
- [With that, he takes off to dash through Green Forest and escape from Prison Island before it explodes. He only has 8 minutes to escape, however.]
Last Story
[edit]- Eggman: [After seeing that his attempt to kill Sonic has failed] You're pretty persistent for a hedgehog aren't you? Still alive, huh?
- Sonic: Hah! Just letting Knuckles pilot the shuttle on the way over here was more dangerous than you could ever be!
- Rouge: [while Sonic and Shadow are fighting the Final Hazard] Can you hear me? Sonic, Shadow!? Everyone here is rooting for you! Good luck and give him trouble!
- Sonic: [whispers] Sayonara, Shadow the Hedgehog...
Chao World
