Euroleague Basketball is a global leader in the sports and entertainment business, devoted to delivering superior clubs European leagues under a unique and innovative organizational model. Owned and managed by some of most successful and historical clubs in the world, EB manages the continent’s two premier men’s basketball competitions, the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and BKT EuroCup, as well the sport’s premier under-18 showcase, the EB Adidas Next Generation Tournament. Euroleague Basketball competitions bring the elite of European basketball to all five continents and to the entire sports community through its OTT platform EuroLeague TV. EB also organizes a series of community and educational programs. Its ground-breaking corporate social responsibility program One Team features 38 clubs that have already made a difference on over 19,000 participants lives.     Authentic fan content captured through growing fan-loved social platforms drives global engagement. What we’re cheering:  The Euroleague Basketball content team used Greenfly and WhatsApp during the EuroLeague 2024 Final Four event in Berlin to capture short-form user-generated content (UGC) from fans at scale, central to their event marketing strategy. The team used Greenfly +Engage tech to create a branded campaign page (web and mobile) to collect original, rights-cleared fan videos and images. Tapping into the popular EuroLeague WhatsApp channel (428,000+ followers), they requested fan tournament content through a link to the campaign page in WhatsApp Stories  — a first for Greenfly partners. EuroLeague fans at games and elsewhere were able to participate and share their perspectives. The team edited select videos into a compilation reel shared across the EuroLeague’s social media channels. The results? EuroLeague Basketball exceeded their estimates for fan content received using Greenfly and engagement.     2024 Euroleague Basketball FanXP Playoffs are set ✅ After 16 selected businesses showcased their products during the 2024 Euroleague Basketball FanXP Online Qualifier on July 10, eight projects have advanced to the playoff phase. These eight companies will pitch their solutions to an external jury made up of four experts from the sports business industry. These individuals will be announced soon. Afterward, the best four businesses will secure a spot at SPORTBIZ EUROPE: Barcelona Edition in October and will fight for a €10,000 prize to invest in implementing their solutions within the esteemed environments of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and BKT EuroCup. 34 applicants were cut down to 16 candidates from 12 different countries, with these companies having the chance to pitch their ideas during the Online Qualifier. The 16 startups had six minutes to pitch their projects, followed by a four-minute Q&A session with members of the jury, which consisted of four Euroleague Basketball executives: Gawain Davies, Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships and Licensing; Alex Ferrer Kristjansson, Senior Director of Marketing and Communications; Diego Fernandez Bonet, Director of Communications; and Joan Carles Ros, Senior Manager of Business Intelligence and Analytics. Once all the companies had made their pitches, the jury met to share their votes. The eight companies who had the most votes would move on to the next round. The businesses that made the cut are: Aucxis RFID Solutions STAR Project – Belgium: Leveraging RFID technology to manage reusable cups sustainably at events, enhancing efficiency, customer experience, and compliance with environmental regulations. Deeptimize – France: Offering precise, real-time sport performance analysis for audience engagement through AI, automatically tagging actions of interest in real-time. GOAT Group – Canada: Transforming sports marketing through augmented reality sports gaming, offering immersive experiences and global opportunities for brands. Lowr – UK: A platform for sports clubs to measure and mitigate the environmental impact of their fans, promoting sustainability and rewarding eco-friendly behaviors. Neoma – France: An innovative guest management solution for major sports events, integrating data across systems to create a seamless, personalized guest journey. Retize – Brazil: An AdTech platform turning sports fan engagement into exclusive audiences and effective media activations, solving performance issues caused by third-party cookie deprecation. Sceenic – UK: Hosting EuroLeague Celebrity Watch Parties on the EuroLeague OTT platform, enabling celebrities and influencers to engage with fans while watching live games. ZATAP by collectID – Switzerland: Connecting physical merchandise products with the digital dimension to create direct-to-consumer interactions, helping brands and sports teams better monetize their customer base.     Euroleague Basketball is thrilled to announce the renewal of TV rights in the Italian territory for the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and BKT EuroCup competitions for the 2024-25 season. This ensures that Italian basketball fans will continue to have access to top-tier European basketball action through their preferred platforms, Sky and DAZN.   SKY, the leading media entertainment company in Italy, will broadcast all EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, Virtus Segafredo Bologna, Dolomiti Energia Trento and Umana Reyer Venice games live on Sky and NOW, plus at least two more EuroLeague games every week. In addition to the live games on Sky and NOW, there will also be daily updates on Sky Sport 24, two weekly shows ("Basket Room Europa" every Wednesday and "EuroLeague Mixtape" every weekend) and news reports on the skysport.it website and on Sky Sport's official social profiles. In the “House of Sport”, Sky offers a wide range of great events from football to motor sports, tennis to golf and much more on a daily basis.    "This is an important announcement that strengthens the solid link between Sky and the world of basketball. Sky will dedicate great coverage to EuroLeague and EuroCup, with special attention to the path of the Italian teams,” Marzio Perrelli, Executive Vice President Sport at Sky said. “In addition to the NBA show, the best European club competitions restate that basketball is always central within the House of Sport.  We will continue to tell the story of the sport with our unmistakable signature, a mix of passion, professionalism and technological quality, leading us to be a reference for the game’s many fans."   DAZN, the world's leading sports streaming platform, will continue as the over-the-top (OTT) platform broadcaster for Euroleague Basketball competitions in Italy, ensuring that Italian fans will enjoy elite broadcast coverage of more than 500 games between the 2024-25 EuroLeague and EuroCup seasons. Euroleague Basketball competitions will join the long list of DAZN's multi-sport portfolio offerings, which includes Serie A, La Liga, and Lega Basket, among others.   "With the renewal of the agreement, European basketball remains solid in DAZN's multisport schedule and gives continuity to fans who will soon also be able to follow the basketball tournaments at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, thanks to Eurosport's dedicated channel included in the app, and the 2024-25 seasons of the Italian top basketball league and the Basketball Champions League.
