Once again, the students of the Master in PV Systems Engineering from Universidad de Jaén visited our Olivares Plant to receive a practical and detailed lesson on the operation of a PV plant. This activity is highly valued by UJA students and professors as it reinforces the theoretical knowledge acquired throughout the master's program and strengthens Matrix Renewables' social and educational commitment to the communities where our projects are located. We thank UJA for their trust in us and our ESG and Operations team for making this activity possible. Together, we continue to drive the future of the photovoltaic sector!

At the 2nd UNEF Spanish Solar Association Green Hydrogen and Storage Summit held last week in Madrid, our colleague Luis Miguel Alvarez, VP Development Europe & LatAm, participated in the roundtable on ‘‘What are the regulatory barriers for the development of storage projects?” He was accompanied by Jesús Ferrero Soler, Deputy Director General of Renewable Energies, Minister for Transition and Demographic Challenge, José Ramón Mourenza Díaz, Counsel/Director of Energy Regulatory Practice, Herbert Smith Freehills Spain, and Lucía González Fernández, Partner - Head of Energy Sector, Ontier. ⚡🔋 During his intervention, Luis Miguel addressed the main challenges to accelerating the deployment of hybrid and stand-alone storage projects in Spain. In particular, the need of a greater focus on achieving a regulatory framework to solve the problems faced by storage projects in their processing and participation in the electricity market.  Equally important, a higher visibility in terms of remuneration schemes and revenue scenarios for these projects, to generate the necessary confidence among financial institutions and create attractive conditions for investment. A special thanks to UNEF for the invitation
