Dixie Chicks remain at ''Home'' atop album chart

In an otherwise static week on the Billboard album chart, the Dixie Chicks continued to have one of the fastest-selling records of the year. The trio’s ”Home,” which enjoyed one of the year’s strongest debuts last week with sales of 780,000, was No. 1 on the chart again this week, selling another 366,650 copies, according to SoundScan, for a total of more than 1.1 million in two weeks.

Eminem’s ”The Eminem Show” held at No. 2 with sales of 178,625, 3,100 more discs than it sold last week. Sticking at No. 3 was Avril Lavigne’s ”Let Go,” shifting 145,675 units, just a 3 percent drop from last week. Nelly’s ”Nellyville” stayed at No. 4 on sales of 136,875, a similarly small drop from a week ago. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s ”The Rising” climbed back up two spots to No. 5, selling 76,108 discs.

Chanteuse Norah Jones’ ”Come Away With Me,” released seven months ago, enjoyed its highest chart position yet, jumping five places to No. 6. Coldplay’s ”A Rush of Blood to the Head” slipped two spaces in its second week, landing at No. 7. ”NOW That’s What I Call Music! Vol. 10” rose two places to No. 8. Eve’s ”Eve-olution” fell three spots to No. 9. The Clipse’s ”Lord Willin”’ slid one notch to No. 10.
