Norah Jones tops P. Diddy for a fifth week at No. 1

The lone new song on ”Bad Boy’s 10th Anniversary: The Hits,” is label founder Sean ”P. Diddy” Combs’ ”Victory 2004,” but the biggest chart victory in 2004 still belongs to Norah Jones. Her ”Feels Like Home” topped the Billboard album chart for the fifth straight week and sold another 183,000 copies, according to SoundScan, enough to edge past the 2 million total sales mark. The ”Bad Boy” collection had to settle for a No. 2 debut, with sales of 150,000. It did push Jessica Simpson’s ”In This Skin” (116,000 discs) and Evanescence’s ”Fallen” (107,000 sold) down one slot each, to third and fourth place, respectively. Holding on at No. 5 for the third straight week was Kenny Chesney’s ”When the Sun Goes Down,” moving another 95,400 units.

The most notable chart mover this week was Maroon 5’s ”Songs About Jane,” which rose four spots to No. 7, entering the top 10 for the first time after nearly two years of release and 44 weeks on the chart. Kanye West’s ”The College Dropout” dropped out of the top 5, slipping two slots to No. 6. Down one spot each were Josh Groban’s ”Closer” (No. 8) and ”The Very Best of Sheryl Crow” (No. 9). OutKast’s ”Speakerboxxx/The Love Below” fell four spots to 10th place.
