ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: What did you make of both groups opting not to vote Ainsley into the game?

JULIE CHEN MOONVES: Silly rabbits, Trix are for kids. Don’t they realize you should always do the opposite of what seems smart in the BB house? In the normal world, of course you don’t — one more person in to compete against. There’s always going to be a consequence for being ruthless.

Chelsie and Cedric were downgraded, which means they cannot compete for Head of Household or Power of Veto, and cannot vote at the eviction ceremony, but they can be evicted. How damaging is that for a player in the first week of the game?

If you have a great social game and can get people to love you then you have no worries. That works in real life too!

Makensy and Quinn were upgraded and one will receive a Deep Fake HOH and the other will get an America’s Veto, but players that win things early in Big Brother often put a big target on their back. How careful do they have to be about their victories and whom they tell?

They should tell no one right now! They should only tell if they can use it for loyalty later from someone they already feel a bond with.

Finally, give us your first impressions in terms of who stood out to you either for good or bad reasons?

This may sound corny, but I love all these houseguests. I try and look at all people the way Jesus would, and I find the treasure. That said, I love Angela. I am partial because she is a wife, a mom and a grandma, and she’s in her 50s. I relate to her! But most of all. I feel for her because she is a cancer survivor. She seems to really appreciate life since surviving her cancer diagnosis nine years ago. Tucker makes me laugh, big personality. And Chelsie I relate to because she loves God and is a Jesus follower.
