Meet the cast of Dance Moms: A New Era

Will the next chapter in the book of "Dance Moms" bring us the next Jojo Siwa and Maddie Ziegler?

Dance Moms is back in the studio.

The reality show about young dancers and their intensely passionate mothers is returning with Dance Moms: A New Era, a new series that will air on Hulu starting Aug. 7. The series follows eight mother-daughter duos as they hone their craft under the supervision of instructor Glo Hampton, a.k.a. Miss Glo, as they train to compete at a national level. The first trailer for the series teases the tense, complex relationships between Miss Glo, her pupils, and their moms as they work together to prove their mettle on the stage.

The original Dance Moms ran for eight seasons and over 200 episodes between 2011 and 2019, and introduced the world to dancers like JoJo Siwa and Maddie Ziegler as they studied under controversial coach Abby Lee Miller.

Entertainment Weekly can exclusively reveal the cast of Dance Moms: A New Era. Read on for the full cast list and their provided bios.

"With moves that defy her age and a smile that lights up the stage, Ashlan is a natural performer. During her six-year tenure at her local studio, Ashlan has been honing her skills under the watchful eye of Miss Glo. Her favorite styles are jazz, contemporary, hip hop, or any genre where she can express herself. Her dedication has been rewarded with numerous scholarships and awards. When she's not dancing, Ashlan loves hanging out with her friends, exploring new places, doing theatre and being artistic."

Lisa: "Traded in spreadsheets for sequins (and soccer cleats)! After years in the corporate world, I'm now a part-time dance mom, part-time soccer mom and part-time digital advertiser. Ashlan's confidence, generosity, care-free attitude, and passion inspire me every day! I believe dancing is an art and expression of individuality, a way to overcome challenges and shine brightly in your own unique way."

Tammi: "I am a former teacher who traded in my classroom for the homeschool chaos to teach my favorite student, my daughter Audrey. As a full-time dance mom, I am here to support Audrey’s passion for dance, theater, and performance. In my free time, I enjoy making crafts and DIY projects that usually end up with more glue and paint on me than on the projects."

"Bellatrix has been dancing since she was in her mom's belly. From dancing in her living room to starting formal dance lessons at the age of five with Miss Glo, Bellatrix is naturally bendy and competed in one of her first solos choreographed by Audrey's mom, Ms. Tammi. She loves the theater and takes vocal lessons to further hone her performance skills. Bellatrix dreams of gracing Broadway and meeting her many idols, including Taylor Swift."

Roxce: "As a dedicated dance mom, I love watching my daughter, Bellatrix, dance and supporting her every step of the way. Her growth and determination drive me to be her biggest supporter, always by her side and sharing a special good luck kiss before each performance. This incredible journey wouldn't be possible without the support of our close-knit family."

"Miami-born Isabella 'Smiley' discovered her passion for dance at age 5 when ballet was recommended to correct her pigeon toes. By age 6, she was focused on pursing her dreams and joining a competition team, prompting a move to Virginia, where she now trains under Miss Glo. Her talent has earned her numerous titles, medals, and scholarships and when not dancing, this 10-year-old models for brands like Vineyard Vines, Hurley, and Nike, splitting her time between Virginia and New York."

Domenica: "I a woman of diverse talents and passions. My journey from food enthusiast to skilled esthetician was inspired by her daughter's love for dance. With two daughters — one in rigorous dance training and the other advancing in gymnastics — my life is a balance of creativity and athleticism and had a near-Olympic track career in Ecuador, which now fuels my dedication to supporting my children's pursuits."

"Leilah began dancing at the age of 3 and she joined Studio Bleu at age 5 and started training with Miss Glo shortly after. By age 7, Leilah performed her first solo, becoming an SDA Nationals Finalist. Since then, she has won numerous titles and highest overall score awards for her solos and was a Ms. Petite Finalist at the SDA World Dance Pageant. Leilah’s favorite dance styles are jazz and contemporary and her sassy, exuberant on-stage presence perfectly complements her fun off-stage personality."

Leslie: "I am a busy working mom of three very active kids, yet my passion for helping my children chase their dreams is endless. Leilah has had a spark for performing since she was very young, lighting up the stage with her talent and sass, and lighting up the room with her personality. Sure, the dance mom life is hectic, especially for a working mom, but I won’t miss a chance to see my baby girl shine!"

Gina also received the Dance Artistry award two years in a row, and this summer she will attend Steps on Broadway on scholarship."

Jing: "I believe that dance can improve children’s temperament and physical beauty. I also believe that children who have persisted in dance training for a long time understand that success requires hard work and persistence, so they will be relatively self-disciplined in other aspects of life. I suggest that all girls learn dance as there are so many benefits."
