Summer of growth at Fiskars Group ☀️   This summer, we are excited to welcome a talented group of trainees and interns to our offices. At our HQ in Espoo, Finland, we have 6 summer trainees working in Finance and Research & Development. In the U.S., we are hosting 8 summer interns working in Graphic Design, Finance, Analytics, HR, Marketing, Sales, and Legal.     Beyond their day-to-day duties, our trainees have the opportunity to attend specially arranged sessions. These sessions aim to familiarize them with our company’s strategy, values, and ways of working. They also provide opportunities to meet and network with other employees, enhance their personal branding, and celebrate their achievements.   🔸 In Finland, trainees have had the chance to meet each other, share about themselves, receive an introduction to the company, and connect with other employees. Upcoming sessions will cover personal branding, supply chain, sustainability, and data & analytics. "During my first two months, I've already learned a lot and truly enjoy my time here. Everyone has always been helpful, and my team has been great. I’ve also enjoyed meeting and engaging with the other summer trainees in our joint sessions and have also had the opportunity to learn about different areas of the company. I have also been given the opportunity to network and pick the brains of others outside of HR to enhance my understanding of business outside my direct realm. Have you ever visited Iittala & Arabia Design Centre? ✨ The Iittala & Arabia Design Centre has brought together two famous design brands in the historic ARABIA135 block. Design Museum Arabia is located on the eighth floor of an impressive building from the 1930s. The museum showcases highlights of the rich history of design by our brands IITTALA and Arabia. 💡 The Design Lab Gallery features changing exhibitions, which often include short films related to the themes of the exhibitions. 💡 Visitors can view the current selections of Iittala and Arabia at the Store on the second floor. The Store also provides tax-free and international delivery services. 💡 The studios of the Arabia Art Department Association are on the eighth floor. During the festival, a masterclass for young conductors at the beginning of their career will be held under the leadership of internationally known conductors, as well as chamber music concerts, symphony concerts and a concert with the Lohja City Orchestra at Karjalohja Church. 💡 The popular chamber music concerts take place in a variety of locations around Fiskars such as Lukaali and Karin Widnäs' Gallery (KWUM), and there’s an open house and free concert in Puimala. Our Half-year Financial Report and Q2 2024 results are now published. In the second quarter, comparable net sales decreased by 5% while reported net sales, which include Georg Jensen, increased by 5%.   “We delivered another solid quarter considering challenging market conditions. We were able to protect profit with Vita’s all-time high gross margin and savings from last year’s cost efficiency programs, but due to lower volumes, comparable EBIT declined to EUR 19 million. We continue to drive systematic improvement and further cost savings through our simplified way of operating. Whilst we are not expecting any immediate improvement in the market conditions, the transformative actions we continue to take support us in reaching our ambitions in both the short and long term,” says Nathalie Ahlström, Fiskars Group’s President & CEO.   Key takeaways:   ➡️ Comparable net sales decreased in challenging market conditions and comparable EBIT declined due to lower volumes. ➡️ Business Area Vita delivered all-time high gross margin, and free cash flow was at a record-high second quarter level. ➡️ Georg Jensen integration is nearly completed – on track to deliver the previously announced EUR 18 million cost synergies. ➡️ Our Guidance for 2024 is intact: we expect comparable EBIT to be slightly above the 2023 level.   🔗 Read the full report: https://lnkd.in/eJwe4vbP   #FiskarsGroup

Have you ever visited Iittala Glass Museum? ✨ The Finnish Glass Museum expanded its operations in 2024 when it started continuous exhibition cooperation with us at Fiskars Group.
