We're thrilled to announce that alongside our partners, we’ve received two ISO Excellence Awards for our work on the MPEG Neural Network Coding and MPEG Carriage of Visual Volumetric Video-based Coding Data standards! The MPEG Neural Network Coding standard compresses neural networks to less than 5% of their original size without performance loss, revolutionizing data transfer for devices like mobile phones and smart cameras. Meanwhile, MPEG Carriage of Visual Volumetric Video-based Coding Data enables efficient storage and delivery of compressed volumetric content for immersive experiences, such as virtual, mixed, and augmented reality. We’d like to give a special shoutout to our very own Emre Baris Aksu, who’s work serving as the standard editors alongside our amazing collaborators has helped make this award possible. The US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) just announced that out of 82 entries, four teams have won what can only be described as Quantum security’s world cup. NIST officially standardized three post-quantum cryptography (PQC) algorithms, with a fourth targeted for standardization soon which is a huge milestone for ensuring our data will be protected from future quantum threats. We are supporting Claro Argentina to deploy 5G infrastructure across the country as the sole supplier, helping advance the digital transformation of industry sectors in Argentina.
