Cal Larsen

Cal Larsen is an Anchor/Reporter for Good Day Wisconsin. A graduate of Ashwaubenon High School, Cal’s career has taken him to the plains of Central Nebraska, Birmingham, Alabama, and, most recently, Omaha.

Cal was a reporter for the ABC affiliate, KETV, in Omaha. One of the nation’s most successful ABC stations. There he covered a wide variety of agriculture and environmental stories but really found his stride doing feel-good feature stories including an Omaha police officer saving a man’s life who was threatening suicide to a balloon journey from rural Nebraska to rural West Virginia.

Prior to KETV Cal worked as a photojournalist in Birmingham, Alabama where he was fortunate to be a part of stories that captured the world including the inaugural season of the USFL, the World Games coming to Birmingham and breaking-news scenes covered by national outlets.

Cal found his passion for reporting on agriculture in rural areas during his time in Hastings, Nebraska. A city of 25,000, Cal felt right at home and fit in thanks to his childhood in Highland, Wisconsin.

Cal is a devoted Badgers fan being a graduate of UW-Madison, but the Brewers consume most of his sports energy. Growing up just steps from Lambeau Field Cal is eager to make Green Bay his home at this stage of his life with his fiancé, Marlo. When not at work you can find Cal running, spending time with his family after six long years away, catching up with friends, walking his dogs - Winston & Leo - or reading.
