Two days ago, we hosted a Deep Dive Session on the Mobility Shift: Driving Transformation. The event was a huge success, thanks to the brilliant insights and innovative solutions presented by our amazing speaker and startup founders. We were delighted to have Theodora Preda, Director of Ventures at Plug and Play Tech Center, deliver a keynote on the latest trends in the mobility landscape. Her expertise provided invaluable perspectives on the future of mobility and its transformative potential. We also had four remarkable startups pitch their cutting-edge solutions: 1️⃣ Anant Kapoor, Co-Founder & CEO of Guided Energy - A specialist in optimizing EV fleet operations, Guided Energy leverages data to enhance efficiency in ride allocations, charging management, and overall fleet utilization. 2️⃣ Theodore Caby, Co-Founder & COO of Qaptis - A developer of mobile CO₂ capture technology for heavy-duty vehicles. Their retrofitting kit turns existing trucks into low-emission vehicles, offering a cost-effective and rapid solution to reduce carbon emissions in the freight industry. 3️⃣ Gonzalo Muley Mintegui, Business Development Manager at BeePlanet Factory - A manufacturer of energy storage systems using second-life lithium-ion batteries from EVs. Yesterday at Plug and Play France, I had the pleasure of sharing insights on the most transformative trends impacting the Fintech and Insurtech industries. Of course, we talked about AI, climate, sustainability and the urgent need for operational efficiency. We discussed investment trends (including Figure's latest round), and the challenges of implementing AI for large corporations. We explored the future of AI, such as Multimodal Models (Archetype AI), Small Language Models, Autonomous Agents, and AI's potential to mitigate 5-10% of global greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. We also explored how financial services could better prepare to climate change through climate modelling and adaptation. The event featured a dynamic panel discussion between: - Imène Ben Rejeb-Mzah, Head of Climate Analytics and Alignment Data Analytics at BNP Paribas - Filippo Maria Stefania, Group Open Innovation & VC Manager at Generali - Nicolas Marescaux, Deputy Director - Customer Needs and Innovation at MACIF.
