2024 marks the significant milestone of our decade-long collaboration with Save the Children, a partnership that has been dedicated to fostering a shared commitment to engaging the next generation of readers. Together, we have strived to ensure that children, both in the United States and worldwide, have equitable access to books. Over the past ten years, we have donated an impressive total of 1.8 million books to their programs.

For the past six years, Penguin Random House has joined forces with Save the Children for their annual summer education campaign called ‘Make Summer Fair.’ This campaign specifically supports Save the Children’s work in rural communities within the United States. Launching this week and continuing until International Literacy Day on September 8th, this initiative aims to guarantee that children living in rural America have the necessary access to books and educational resources required for their learning and development. By working together, we are committed to providing children with greater access to books, creating home libraries, and eliminating book deserts in rural America. We firmly believe that through books and reading, children’s independent thinking, free expression, and creativity can flourish.

In partnership, we firmly believe that books possess the power to connect us, transform us, and guide us towards a brighter future for future generations. To learn more about our collaborative efforts, we invite you to watch the video and consider making a donation here.
