Does what it's supposed to do. I bought one years ago to use with a PS5, and it's plug and play. Works out of the box. I'm using it to store games on, as the less than a TB of storage that comes with the launch PS5 is not enough. It's still working today.
Setting up the lights on it is easy. The drive comes with a link to the webpage to download the software pre-installed. Press the link, download the software, immediately have the ability to alter the colour settings. The settings are retained even if the drive is switched off or moved.
I just purchased a new one to watch media on a smart TV with. I did have to reformat it to NTFS to make the TV recognise it, but a simple 'reformat' in windows did the job and now it's working fine.
I think £100 is too expensive for 2TB, but when it's on sale for around half price that's fairer. There are plenty of other hard drives on amazon that are slightly cheaper but aren't from official companies are sound like they're made in a basement in China, and amazon doesn't monitor what's actually on them so anything could happen when they're plugged in. It's worth paying a little bit extra to get one from an official company that's known to be safe.
Lastly, selecting the 'rainbow' option for the LEDs obviously makes the drive work faster.
