Muhammad was released by the Cowboys on Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Muhammad was brought in by the Cowboys in early August to add depth to the defensive line after Sam Williams suffered a season-ending ACL tear. While Muhammad has one game left on his six-game suspension from December for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing drugs, he'll likely be able to play with his new team right away if he signs after Week 1.
