Schroder tallied 20 points (7-13 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six assists, four steals and three rebounds across 32 minutes in Germany's 86-73 win over Brazil in the Paris Olympics on Tuesday. Schroder had an efficient outing while scoring a game-high 20 points Tuesday. After shooting only 1-for-6 from three-point range Saturday versus Japan, the 30-year-old bounced back and had an efficient game from beyond the arc. Through two group-phase games, Schroder has accumulated 33 points and 18 assists. The veteran point guard will be expected to lead the squad alongside Franz Wagner in the group phase and beyond.

Latest Nets News
Dennis Schroder : Game-high 20 points in Olympic win
Dennis Schroder : Double-double in blowout win
Schroder put up 13 points (6-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt),12 assists and two rebounds across 28 minutes in Germany's 97-77 win over Japan in the Paris Olympics on Saturday. Schroder led Germany with 12 assists, acting as the team's top facilitator in the victory. The 30-year-old is playing in his first Olympic Games, coming just one year after he led Germany to victory in the FIBA Basketball World Cup for the first time. Schroder and Franz Wagner will look to lead Germany to Olympic success this year, but they still do have to face France and Brazil in the group phase.
Dennis Schroder : Game-high 10 assists in loss
Schroder put up 13 points (3-15 FG, 3-11 3Pt, 4-6 FT), 10 assists, two rebounds and one block across 17 minutes in Germany's 92-88 exhibition game loss to the United States on Monday. Schroder produced a rough showing from the field in Monday's loss to Team USA. However, the 30-year-old did tally a game-high 10 assists as Germany kept the exhibition match close. Schroder and Franz Wagner will aim to lead the squad to Olympic success in Paris, and Germany's ability to hang with Team USA bodes well for their Olympic hopes, especially after winning the FIBA Basketball World Cup for the first time in 2023.
Keon Johnson : Inks multi-year deal with Brooklyn
The Nets and Johnson agreed to terms on a multi-year contract Saturday,Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Johnson spent the 2023-24 season on a two-way contract and appeared in just five games with the Nets. However, the 21-year-old was excellent in the G League, averaging 17.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.1 steals in 41 regular-season games and led the Long Island Nets to the G League finals. The 22-year-old also showed well enough in Summer League to earn a multi-year deal with the rebuilding Nets.
Noah Clowney : Drills five triples in win
Clowney converted five trey-balls on his way to 18 points (6-of-11 FG, 1-of-1 FT), five rebounds, four assists, two steals and two turnovers across 34 minutes in Thursday's Summer League win over Orlando. Clowney was hot from beyond the arc in this one, but we wouldn't overreact from one exhibition game in July. He attempted a total of 33 three-pointers last season and only converted 12 of them, and prior to today's outburst, he had gone 3-of-13 from distance in Las Vegas. Still, Clowney remains an exciting prospect, but as long as Nicolas Claxton is in Brooklyn, his upside will be muted.
Jaylen Martin : Scores 12 points in Summer League
Marten logged 12 points (4-12 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, an assist and three steals across 24 minutes of Friday's 97-95 win over the Pacers in overtime. Martin missed the final three games of the 2023-24 regular season with a sprained left ankle, but he's overcome the injury and operated as Brooklyn's sixth man Friday. The 20-year-old inked a two-year, two-way contract with the Nets in February and although he'd been part of the Nets' roster, he has yet to make his NBA debut.
Dariq Whitehead : Starting in Summer League
Whitehead is in the starting lineup for the Nets' Summer League game against the Clippers on Sunday, Law Murray of The Athletic reports. Whitehead appears to have made a full recovery from a procedure he had in January to address a left shin stress reaction, and has started in both the Nets Summer League games this far. Whitehead played 28 minutes Friday against Indiana and generated five points (1-12 FG, 0-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, an assist, three steals and two blocks.
Trendon Watford : Staying with Brooklyn
Watford signed a one-year, $2.73 million contract Brooklyn on Tuesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Watford had been a restricted free agent, but because he signed his qualifying offer, he'll become an unrestricted free agent next summer. He made 63 appearances for the Nets during the 2023-24 season, posting averages of 6.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 13.6 minutes.
