Eastlake North has the pieces after 21-win season: 2018-19 preseason basketball camp tour

EASTLAKE, Ohio — The high school girls basketball season begins Nov. 23.

Practices are under way.

Check out the video above and a preview capsule below on Eastlake North, as cleveland.com continues its preseason visits around the area.

Eastlake North Rangers

Coach: Paul Force (11th season)

2017-18 record: 21-4 (14-0 Western Reserve Conference), Division I district finalist

Returning starters: Destiny Leo (5-10, Jr., G, 18.0 points), Taylor Valaitis (5-10, Sr., PG, 6.0 points)

In the rotation: Abby Carter (5-11, So., G, 14.0 points, Geneva transfer), Maddy Hamilton (5-5, Sr., G), Avril Drew (5-6, So., G)

Outlook: The big question for Eastlake North is replacing all-time leading scorer Samantha Pirosko, who is now playing college basketball at Gannon. Fortunately for Force and the Rangers, they bring back one of the area's top shooters and scorers in Leo, who could reach 1,000 career points this season. Another boost comes in the arrival of Carter. Both are receiving Division I college offers.
