CLEVELAND, Ohio — Eleven high school football teams from Northeast Ohio will play next weekend for OHSAA regional championships.
The governing body for high school sports announced Sunday the host sites for those matchups, which include three all-area matchups: Mentor vs. St. Edward in Division I, Archbishop Hoban vs. Maple Heights in Division II and Kirtland vs. Mogadore in Division VI.
The Cardinals and Eagles, who opened the season against each other, will meet Friday at Euclid Community Stadium for the Region 1 championship. Undefeated Maple Heights will challenge unbeaten and defending state champ Hoban at Twinsburg's Tiger Stadium, while Kirtland and Mogadore tangle in Aurora.
All regional championships in Divisions I, II, III and VI are Friday night. The Division IV, V and VII games are Saturday. Here is a rundown of the matchups and where they will be played:
