Defending OHSAA state boys basketball champ Cincinnati Moeller atop first AP state poll

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Associated Press unveiled its first state boys basketball poll, voted on by a panel of sports writers across Ohio.

Defending state champion Cincinnati Moeller reigns atop the Division I poll with an undefeated record, while Cincinnati Taft, Archbold and St. Henry are the top-ranked teams in their respective divisions.

Northeast Ohio teams to make the first state rankings include: St. Vincent-St. Mary and Lorain in Division I. Villa Angela-St. Joseph cracked the top 10 in Division II.
