If there is one place in Hong Kong that serves as a repository for memories of sweat, tears and cheers, it’s probably the 72-year-old Hong Kong Stadium, which has witnessed countless sporting and cultural milestones. Built in 1952 and originally named Government Stadium, it was redeveloped by the Club in 1992 with a budget of HK$800 million. With a maximum seating capacity of 40,000, Hong Kong Stadium has been the city’s largest outdoor multi-purpose venue for recreation and sports since it reopened in 1994 🏟. 🔗 The latest edition of Striding On Issue 50 is now available.
