Our Vice Chair Dr. Delman Lee has returned from an inspiring trip to Shanghai where he attended the #CascaleManufacturerForum. The event focused on critical strategies and solutions for decarbonizing the industry and explored key topics such as science-based emissions reduction targets and future climate legislation.   The Forum offered an important platform for the global manufacturing community to demonstrate the power of collective action through strategic partnerships. Meet our recycled tote created for our longstanding partner and award-winning manufacturer, TAL Apparel Limited. Whilst it might look like an ordinary tote - this is an extra-ordinary tote… That’s because we made it using innovatively recycled canvas, which we made ourselves by rescuing and then recycling complex IP sensitive fabrics, which carry distinct patterns, prints and logos and are therefore hard to reuse ‘as-is’.  Typically, elsewhere in the industry, a lot of complex IP sensitive fabrics are still getting incinerated. But not with us, thanks to our innovative R Textiles recycling, where we recycle IP-sensitive fabric and garment waste into our own recycled yarns and recycled fabrics, paving the way for a more circular fashion system.  Together, we carry the planet forward. In fact, TAL commissioned the legendary Henry Steiner, known today as the "Father of Hong Kong Design", to create the iconic cover for our 1973/74 annual report. Over 200 of Mr. Steiner's most influential designs, including the TAL annual report cover, will be on display at the M+ Museum from June 15 to November 10.
