The highly anticipated year-end event brought together stakeholders in the entertainment industry, business partners and media agencies. We are thrilled to announce, after the successful adaptation international formats between like #TheBrokenMarriageVow wand #FlowerofEvil, ABS-CBN Corporation and Viu come together once again! This time for the PH adaptation of CJ ENM ENTERTAINMENT DIV.’s hit romantic-comedy series #What’sWrongWithSecretaryKim, starring Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino in the lead roles as Secretary Kim and Mr. Vice-Chairman, who were originally played by Park Min-young and Park Seo-joon. The show is scheduled for 2024 and the shoot begins today!

At the recent #GlobalOTTForum, held in Seoul, Janice Lee CEO of Viu and PCCW Media Limited, was invited as the keynote speaker to share her views on the Global OTT Market Development in Asia. Organized by #KoreaCommunicationsCommission (KCC) and #KoreaBroadcastAdvertisingCorporation (KOBACO), the event was well attended with an audience of over 500, represented by a diverse set of industry professionals, including content creators and studios, OTT streamers, distributors, research institutions, and academia. Janice shared insights and update on the state of OTT market development in Asia as well as Viu’s strategy, success and challenges in building a streaming service across 16 markets in Southeast Asia, Middle East and South Africa.

Viu is proud to announce that we have been recognized for our contribution to making K-Wave a global phenomenon at the recently held Asia Contents Awards and Global OTT Awards 2023, as a part of the Busan International Film Festival, S. Korea. Since our launch in 2015, we have been one of the strongest promoters of Asian content, especially K-content outside of Korea in the digital space. Korean content has been one of the key pillars of our success across markets. We thank our many partners in Korea for entrusting us with their creative work and for lending us their support over the years.
