Moore, Special Olympics Global Ambassador. [Close-up video of Lily D. Moore appears] My school had Special Olympics when I was there. It was sports that broke down barriers and brought everyone together. I have been a Global Ambassador for four years now. I truly believe that people with disabilities can go to college, take classes, and learn just like typical students. I got to live away from my parents and have three roommates. I have gained the independence going all around campus. It was amazing. Look past the disability and look for what we can do and what we have in common, and take us seriously and show us the same respect you would anyone else. We all should be able to love and respect each other in this great big world because we are all unique, beautiful, and brave. AI is a game-changer; a term we often hear, but one that has been challenging for me to embrace in conversation fully. As the founder of an AI-driven company dedicated to making web accessibility achievable to everyone, you might wonder why I hesitate to champion AI's revolutionary potential. The answer is simple: AI still has a lot more room to grow.  AI is transforming our lives, yours and mine included. It's becoming an integral part of how we generate ideas, gather information, and engage in meaningful discussions. It offers advice without judgment and provides insights that help guide our decisions. More importantly, AI simplifies complexity, accelerates processes, and opens new possibilities. In the realm of web accessibility, AI has made significant strides, though it still has room to grow. The accessibility industry is where AI shines brightest. With 1.13 billion websites online (according to re, and only 3% of them accessible, bridging the web accessibility gap is not just a challenge—it’s a necessity. Automating web accessibility through AI is far from flawless, but it represents our best hope for creating an inclusive internet. While AI cannot stand alone, the combination of human insight and artificial intelligence has allowed us to democratize access to the web, bringing it to populations that were previously excluded. Designers, it’s time to add web accessibility to your toolkit 🎨 Join our amazing VP of Design, Haim Repael Azoulay, as he breaks down everything from accessible design tips, to keeping up aesthetics, plus the finer details on why high contrast equals high impact. Head to accessibe.com to learn more about making your designs accessible for all 👈 Transcript: [Intro text appears] Ask the expert by accessiBe [Enter to the roof where Haim is sitting wearing sunglasses and a white shirt and his laptop is out in front of him] Hey Haim, just for fun tell us, would you rather a lazy beach holiday or an adventurous busy one? Hey, basically I enjoy both, but if I had to choose one it's probably the adventurous and busy one. So what's your role here at accessiBe? I'm the VP Design. Which means shaping our design strategy and making sure our products are both accessible and aesthetically pleasing. But what does accessible design actually mean? Accessible design means creating products and experiences that everybody can use. Can you tell us one major challenge that designers face in accessible design and what your solution would be? Designers often worry about incorporating accessibility without compromising on aesthetics. So, my solution is to incorporate accessibility from the outset. Once it's a core product of the design process, your designs can be both visually stunning and accessible for all. Let's go inside. [Haim walks inside] [He is now in the kitchen pouring a drink] What are three things that every designer needs to know about accessibility? Well, first of all, always design with an inclusive mindset. Be familiar with the WCAG, very important. And make sure to test your designs on users with a range of abilities. [Haim is sitting on a chair in the kitchen and waves bye] Thanks so much for today. See you!
