We are pleased to share that recently a delegation from Roche Pharma Israel, led by the GM, Mr. Avi Danziger, had the honor of being hosted by the leading team of Assuta Medical Centers, headed by Dr. Arnon Makori, Head of the Imaging Department and Dr. Manor Shpriz, Deputy Manager at Assuta Hospital Ramat HaHayal. The main areas of activity of Assuta Tel Aviv Medical Center were presented at the meeting, including innovation processes and clinical research, such as: data research integrated with health funds and those related to health policy, among others. Additionally, there was a tour at the imaging department, including a presentation of AI interfaces integrated into some of the most advanced imaging systems in Israel (such as MRI, PET CT, etc.). The staff of Assuta Tel Aviv Medical Center and Roche also discussed possible collaborations in Roche Israel's strategic areas, including: Ophthalmology, Oncology-Hematology, Neurology, and more. We hope this meeting will mark the beginning of a fruitful collaboration for the benefit of patients in Israel. 🙏

Roche Israel is thrilled to announce the launch of a new data based study💻 in retinal diseases, which are among the main causes of severe vision loss. The study aims to identify epidemiological and treatment patterns in retinal diseases.👓 It is conducted via the Kineret Data Innovation platform, a governmental medical data lake project for research and innovation, and is based on anonymized patient data from HYMC ISRAEL - Hillel Yaffe Medical Center and Shamir Medical Center (Assaf Harofeh), who take part in the Kineret project. Students🎓 from the department of Digital Medical Technologies at Holon Institute of Technology will be performing the data analysis as part of their studies as healthcare data analysts. Medical data science and AI are at the core of medical innovation and can provide insights that support the development of future innovative technologies in the areas of diagnosis, monitoring, disease management and efficiency in patient care for the benefit of patients in Israel and around the world. We are happy to announce the winner 🏆 of the ‘Roche for a Better Future’ - Ophthalmology 👓 Innovation Challenge & Pilot Program: Notal Vision is a patient-centric digital healthcare provider of remote monitoring services that extends age-related macular degeneration (AMD) monitoring from the clinic to the home, providing eye care professionals with remote diagnostic tools to support their patient care. With a proven approach to home-based, self-operated diagnostics, AI-enabled data analysis, and patient engagement services, Notal Vision helps to preserve patients’ vision long-term. Notal Vision will be provided with an opportunity to conduct a clinical pilot in Beilinson Hospital in order to validate its solution and will also receive a unique package that includes a grant and comprehensive mentorship. So, in a network way-of-working, having Guillaume Girofflé, a trainee from Roche Germany, for a 3 months stay here in Israel, was quite beneficial for both sides. Guillaume is taking part in a rotational Graduate Program at Roche Pharma AG in Grenzach, Germany with cross-functional and international rotations in different departments of the company. During his visit here, he shared his marketing experience with the Israeli Haematology team. “It was an incredibly exciting period during which I experienced substantial development, both on a professional and personal level. I was warmly welcomed, and the Israeli affiliate had a very familiar atmosphere that allowed me to get valuable insights 💡, particularly regarding their high customer orientation and pragmatic approach.” When asked about his view on the overall Israeli experience he says: “I had the pleasure of experiencing Israel as an incredibly captivating country, immersed in culture and history. Both Tel Aviv and Jerusalem left a lasting impression on me, each with its own distinct charm”.
