We get by with a little help from our colleagues! 💁♀️ 🙋♂️ 🌈 During the Independence Day weekend in India, some of the Cactizens got together to organize a food drive in Jaipur in partnership with Robin Hood Army. Thanks to their efforts, we were able to provide food kits to 8,800 families! 🥗 This 10-day initiative holds special significance as it coincides with the 10th anniversary of Robin Hood Army a wonderful volunteer-driven organization that redistributes surplus food from restaurants and the community to those in need. #EmpoweringPeople #BreakDownBarriers #LifeAtCACTUS #Volunteers

It was a great workshop at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) Mumbai last week, organized in collaboration with A Guide to Your Career (AGTC).    The "Career Exploration and Research Communication with CACTUS" workshop brought together PhDs, postdocs, and master's students for a deep dive into the evolving landscape of research careers and the critical role of effective communication.   The event featured insightful sessions led by experts from CACTUS Communications: Smita Jain kicked off the workshop with an inspiring talk on navigating diverse career paths beyond academia, providing invaluable advice on overcoming the imposter syndrome and embracing new opportunities in STEM fields. Sunaina Singh focused on the best practices in research writing and the ethical integration of AI tools. Her session on decoding the art of graphical abstracts shed light on enhancing the clarity and impact of academic writing. Nolita Coelho showcased our AI-powered writing assistant, Paperpal, demonstrating how it can help researchers refine their manuscripts with precision and ease.   This workshop was not just about imparting knowledge but empowering the next generation of researchers to take charge of their careers and excel in their communication.   A big thank you to everyone who joined us in person and online.
