Part 5: We’ve been talking about Lakshya’s growth. While the talented artists who work at Lakshya are a big part of our story, each department at Lakshya comes together to make it what it is today. This photograph from 2017 marks a significant milestone when Lakshya became the first game art studio in India to receive the CDSA certification. The Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA) is a respected international organization that promotes and sets standards for the secure and efficient management of digital content. The achievement of this certification demonstrated our long-standing commitment to data security and privacy. This achievement underscored the strength of our security protocols and the trust our partners placed in us. Part 4: In our last post, we covered the rapid growth of Lakshya between 2007 and 2011. This was also a time when the gaming industry in India was beginning to find its own identity. A major milestone during this period was the start of what we now know as the India Game Developers Conference (IGDC). But do you know how it all began?

In the photograph, you can see our CEO, Manvendra Shukul, with Rajesh Rao of Dhruva Interactive, taken more than 16 years ago at an animation conference that had little to no focus on game development. At that time, the gaming industry was still in its infancy. Initially, they tried to carve out space for game development within the animation conference, but soon realized the need for a dedicated platform. This idea led to the formation of the Nasscom Game Developer Conference (NGDC), which later evolved into IGDC. The early success of the conference was made possible by the crucial support of Rajiv Vaishnav of Nasscom, and the backing from Nasscom itself. 

Sixteen years ago, IGDC started with about 200 attendees; today, it draws thousands. Lakshya has been a proud supporter of IGDC from the start and was also the Diversity and Inclusion Partner at IGDC 2023. If one had to sum it all up, I would say watching the industry evolve has been a remarkable journey of growing together. - 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙉𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧
