  • Chhattisgarh Tourism - As Media Consultant

    1) Assessment of tourism potential of the state and find relevant markets to market the destination

    2) Identify seasonality, TG and prospective economic class who could be interested in the state considering the factors such as connectivity, tourism infrastructure and competition with the neighboring states.
    3) Targeting and Positioning an effective plan for various opportunity areas for Tourism growth.
    4) Identifying cost effective media vehicles which could sustain the campaign in the limited budget. Subsequently media was finalized based on the presentations from media houses, agencies in creative, PR, outdoor and digital platforms were empanelled through newspaper advertisement and presentations.
    6) Launched the campaign in print media in domestic market and sustained the same with outdoor campaign in 7 major metropolitan cities.
    7) Used travel portals / airline portals to reach out to internet savvy audience.
    8) Launched the campaign in international markets in UK and Germany in print including B2B publications and supported the same withbbc.com. Tourism website got visitors from across the globe. (Data available with BBC.)
    9) Participated and represented in the travel events and road shows in India, UK and Germany.
    10) Sponsored CNBC Travel Awards 2011.
    11) Helped and supervised designing of collaterals and Tourism website in its current form along with State Calendar for 2010 and 2011.
    13) Launched an event "Lok Prasang 2012" to increase Weekend tourism
    14) Came out with a suggestion to evolve a new tourism master plan for a sustained tourism growth which could bring tribals into main stream by bringing in a model of inclusive growth. This master plan recommendation was based on a model of an island destination which due to systematic and planned growth has been able to generate revenues for the govt. with a sustainable socio-economic plan.
    15) Training programme for 400 Travel Agents and Tour operators was launched in association with Kuoni .
