“Bharath is one of the few people that came to us with production Scala experience. He had spent some time building a health care application written in Scala. He is a true generalist able to skate between works on Kafka, building hardware accelerated encryption algorithms, and building test harnesses for multi-JVM clustering solutions like our graph database. He is also one of the most hilarious people on our team and works tirelessly. I always make it a point to go out to drinks with Bharath and anyone else who would like to join every time I am in Hyderabad. I would recommend him for any position in which he is interested but you can’t have him until we are done with him :)”

Presented a Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) implementation of a Belief Propagation (BP) based decoder for polar codes. The BP decoding algorithm is implemented to utilize the parallel computing capability of the GPUs. It shows how the algorithm can make use of parallelism both at the thread level and block level, and by utilizing the limited shared memory available on GPUs, a real time decoding performance is achieved. The BP decoding algorithm is implemented to utilize the parallel computing capability of the GPUs. It shows how the algorithm can make use of parallelism both at the thread level and block level, and by utilizing the limited shared memory available on GPUs, a real time decoding performance is achieved. The resulting algorithm is able to achieve a decoding throughput of almost 5Mbps while maintaining a frame error rate below 10-3 on code blocks of 1024 bits.
