Feedback needs to be balanced.It should highlight both strengths and weaknesses of the students to ensure that they have a well rounded understanding of themselves. I firmly believe that every situation has both kind of takeways that one can get. It is important that your feedback empowers the students to be the best version of themselves

I always believe in the age old adage "Where this a will there is a way" One has to balance responsibility and passions because they both serve different needs in your life. Proper time management can make everything possible but at the same time one has to ensure that they aren't spreading themselves too thin. In the journey called life,both professional as well as personal growth are not only desirable but also necessary for one to feel a sense of accomplishment

Realising that change is inevitable and is something that keeps things fresh is important when dealing with anything. To maintain your relevance,it is important to keep yourself updated with the latest in the world. I always tell people to ensure that they should never let the inquisitive child in them grow up.It is what keeps us hungry for knowledge. Finally,the day you think you know everything is the day you have started to tread on the path of doom.

Certain non negotiables for success 1.Content is king-Ensure that you deliver actual value in terms of what is being given to the students 2. Delivery is equally important-Flat lifeless delivery of content doesn't generate the interest that is needed to liven up the classroom. It is important that the delivery of content is engaging 3.Respect the diversity in learning levels-Students are really diverse in their learning patterns and behaviours. It is important to take that into consideration and craft sessions that allows every one to gain something out of it. Inclusivity is key

It is extremely important for someone as an educator to understand that every student needs to be given a platform to showcase their learnings and that no doubt is small or trivial. It is extremely important to lend them a patient ear, give them appropriate feedback and ensure that they feel like they BELONG. A classroom should be a space which allows every student to participate. A respectful yet comfortable space is what is important to create a holistic learning environment

The key to climbing any ladder is going step by step.You may be creative in climbing and may skip a step or two and take bigger leaps,but you still have to go through the rigour that is needed to take on leadership role. I firmly believe that one needs to have a “been there done that” approach in order to be an effective leader.Experiential learning forges a character that is strong and can will help you tackle any challenges that come in your path. So it is extremely important to put yourself in a wide variety of roles and situations to make yourself better prepared for the multitude of opportunities that will present themselves to you as you climb the ladder to leadership positions
