Soft skill development refers to one of the many different aspects of social behavior needed to succeed in your career, irrespective of the industry you choose to work. Attributes like communication skills, training skill, leadership ability while including personal attributes like optimism, empathy, and friendliness. No doubt, these are critical assets on the way to your success. These skills enhance an individual’s interactions, performance on the job and career prospects. Compared to hard skills, which are skill-sets of a person enabling them to perform certain types of activity or task, soft skills are about interpersonal skills and can be applied broadly. For example, if you are invited to attend a business lunch, you need a sense of Humor, Common Sense, effective communication, and good manners. Theoretical knowledge, while providing you with information about a topic or subject, does not tell you where and how to use the information most effectively. If you are in a party and want to be popular, a sense of humor will improve your chances tremendously. (ISSN 0974 - 0708)
