Empower the end user: Gamify the visualisation The creator can only think in a limited number of ways. To add dimensions to the usability, keep the visualisation flexible enough to be played with. The most valuable insight should ideally be the one available as default for visualisation (that keeps the content relevant and the user engaged). However, there should be an option to add depth (or detail) to the view, even if it is to a little extent when data accessibility needs to be restricted. This makes the user feel empowered and helps foster creativity.
