As we concluded our 5th #WeSeeEqual Equality and Inclusion Summit 2024 yesterday, we took the opportunity to share progress on our programs designed to respect and reflecting the diversity of our consumers – starting from the workplace, and through our brands in the communities we serve. We believe that this progress is one ripple in the journey and hope that it will go on to create a meaningful impact for our consumers, employees, and other stakeholders. #PGIndia #EqualityAndInclusion #Citizenship

An inspiring day spent with the incredible students positively impacted by Procter & Gamble India's flagship CSR initiative - #PGShiksha over the past 20 years was truly heartwarming. We visited a residential school for students from a tribal community near Thane in Maharashtra. It was fascinating to learn how we’re using AI-powered tools like Mindspark, in partnership with Educational Initiatives, to bridge learning gaps for these young minds. We also had P&G team volunteers build some communication skills among the older students, and spend time discussing and fuelling their future aspirations! Seeing the students’ curiosity and eagerness to learn filled me with a renewed sense of purpose. Proud to be part of the P&G Shiksha family and committed to contributing whatever we can through #PGShiksha. Let’s work together to raise awareness about #LearningGaps and empower every child to reach their full potential. #PGShiksha #PGIndia #PGEmp

Today, the idea of growth is shifting, and disruption is accelerating all around us. In this context, it is imperative to drive agility in learning and agility in applying the learnings, to deliver ultimate business outcomes. Today, on #WorldYouthSkillsDay, I personally believe that in this ever-evolving landscape, a passion for learning and growth mindset can go a long way! I recently came across LinkedIn’s 2024 Workplace Learning Report, which had some exciting insights showcasing the opportunities created and positive impact of digital disruptions across industries, and the skills that one needs to succeed today. I was happy to see 80% of survey population wanting to improve their digital (AI) skills in pursuit to deliver business impact better. It also mentions that organizations with robust learning environments see significantly higher employee retention and internal mobility. I find this really encouraging and reassuring that the demand for always-on learning is high, among individuals wanting to accelerate careers. At P&G, we have always believed that our people are our greatest assets. This famous quote by our former CEO – Richard Dupree is a testament to this belief. Just like Consumer Moments of Truth, we strive to create positive Employee Moments of Truth via a superior employee value equation.. This belief is based on the core principles of ‘CARE’ and ‘Co-Creation’. o Care and co-creation to provide meaningful work right from Day 1, which enables people to make an impact they want to. o Care and co-creation to develop essential skills and tools to continuously learn and grow. o Care and co-creation to develop empathetic, inspiring, and inclusive leaders for tomorrow. As every individual’s needs are unique – we believe in managers spending quality time with employees to ‘Co-create’ the required learning and growth journey for the individual. This enables the personal and professional growth of our people, so they can in turn maximize their true potential. What skills do you think are most crucial for young people to develop in today's world? Share your thoughts in the comments below! #PGIndia #PGEmp #WorldYouthSkillsDay #CareAndCareerCoCreation

This #WorldYouthSkillsDay, as I reflect on the impact #ProjectPragati – the digital upskilling initiative of #PGShiksha has had on the communities, I am filled with pride. In an environment where digital innovations are transforming all aspects of life including workplaces, it is has become imperative for individuals to be equipped with essential job ready digital skills of the 21st century. Built with this insight, #Pragati is equipping communities with core digital skills across its learning centers. I am incredibly proud of all the students across our program in different groups - underserved women, transgender community and People With Disabilities. I am also proud of our people at #PGIndia who have continued to lead the initiative, creating long-lasting impact on the communities. It was heartening to know how some students have enrolled in higher education, some have purchased laptops to continue their learning, while many have secured jobs with the newly acquired skills, taking these young folks a step closer to realizing their potential. Here are some glimpses from the program! #PGIndia #PGEmployee #WorldYouthSkillsDay #EmpowermentThroughEducation Procter & Gamble India

Recently, I had the opportunity to participate in the certification ceremony of one of the batches of our #PGShiksha program - #LimitlessPragati. This digital upskilling program focuses on providing job-ready digital skills of the 21st century, equipping underserved communities with the tools needed to thrive in today's digital world. During the visit, I had the privilege of witnessing the impact firsthand - the excitement and pride on the newly acquired skills, along with gained confidence in their abilities, was a humbling experience. We also met parents and guardians, with their unique backgrounds yet united in a common desire to see their children overcome barriers and unleash their true potential. P&G Shiksha is not just a CSR initiative, it represents a passionate commitment to transforming lives through education. On this #WorldYouthSkillsDay, let us celebrate the remarkable achievements of these individuals and acknowledge the importance of equipping our youth with the skills they need to thrive in an ever-evolving world. Understanding Brand Building with Purpose-Driven Campaigns with Mukta Maheshwari, CMO, Vice President & Category Head - Fabric Care, Procter & Gamble India at ET Brand World Summit. When a brand successfully drives a purposeful campaign, it can break longstanding stereotypes. Let’s illustrate this with a notable example: Ariel’s #ShareTheLoad Campaign Ariel set out to challenge the stereotype that laundry is solely a woman's responsibility. Despite their product's positive reception, many men still viewed laundry as women's work. In response, Ariel launched the hashtag #ShareTheLoad in 2015, aiming to promote household equality. 1. 2015: The campaign began with the core message of sharing household chores equally. 2. 2016: The initiative evolved with "Can Dad #ShareTheLoad," encouraging children to ask their fathers to participate in laundry tasks. 3. 2019: Ariel addressed the generational bias, questioning if we were teaching our sons that laundry was a woman’s job. 4. 2020: The campaign highlighted the impact of this stereotype on women’s health. 5. 2022: Ariel tackled the hidden biases surrounding women doing laundry. 6. 2023: The focus shifted to the emotional distance created by these biases. Through these campaigns, Ariel sought to resonate with relatable truths, driving conversations about household equality. By consistently addressing this issue, the brand managed to penetrate deeper into households, demonstrating how purpose-driven campaigns can create lasting change. Purpose Beyond Campaigns: P&G’s Approach P&G exemplifies how a brand can succeed by creating movements, not just campaigns. Purpose-driven initiatives should transcend seasons. In 2015, Ariel embarked on a mission to challenge the deeply ingrained stereotype that laundry is solely a woman's responsibility. Despite their product's positive reception, the notion persisted among many men that laundry was "women's work." Determined to change this mindset, Ariel launched the #ShareTheLoad campaign, aiming to promote household equality.
