Tell us a little about the history of Element7? Element7 have been trading for 25 years. We started off supplying extra wide and long engineered planks suitable for underfloor heating before anyone else in the UK but have evolved and are now the leading supplier for plank, parquet and bespoke pattern engineered flooring in the UK

Please outline how your customer process works? Most customers visit us in the showroom which is the biggest in the UK. We discuss their requirements (lifestyle/children/dogs/entertaining etc) and recommend the best options – we have our most popular products laid on the floors which helps to actually visualise the flooring in their homes.

Is there a type of project that gets you particularly excited to work on? All of our customers are treated with the highest level of service, the majority of whom are recommended to us by the very best interiors designers and architects. We love to see our flooring in the most innovative and exciting projects all over the world. Please see the testimonials on our website from some of those who have recommended us.

How has your industry evolved over the years? Nowadays we primarily sell varnished floors where as previously we only sold oiled floors. Our varnished floors have 8 layers of natural water based colour enhanced varnish which will last a lifetime. Our flooring may be more expensive than average but will not need refinishing or replacing and is guaranteed for 15 years.

What words of encouragement would you give to a client who is interested in going for hardwood floors but not quite convinced? Our engineered 3 layer flooring is constructed using the same wood species on both top and bottom layers with soft wood in the centre which is recognised worldwide as the most stable construction available and has an average lifespan of 3 times that of the average wood floor plus never needs refinishing.
