ヨーク郡のnear Walker's pointでジョージ・ハーバート・ウォーカーとルクレティア・ウェア・ウォーカー (1874–1961)の娘として生まれた。[4][5]
Mary Instituteに入学し、[6]1921年8月6日、プレスコット・ブッシュとケネバンクポート (メイン州)で結婚した。
