We are proud to share an important award received by FPSO Bacalhau as the first newbuilt FPSO in the world to receive Approval in Principle (AiP) for the Abate Notation from the classification society DNV. 👏👏 This notation covers stringent requirements to emission management system per barrel of oil produced (similar to ISO 50001 Energy Management requirements) and the installation of substantial abatement measures onboard the vessel to prevent non-emergency flaring and optimize efficiency of power/heat generation. 🌍 “Receiving the DNV Abate notation is an affirmation of our commitment to developing a sustainable future”, said Eric Powell, Vice President and COO of MODEC in Singapore, upon receiving the award. Junte-se a nós para a celebração do nono aniversário do primeiro óleo do FPSO Cidade de Itaguaí MV26! 🎉 Entre embarques e desembarques, desafios e conquistas, muitas histórias de vida se cruzaram a bordo do MV26 ao longo desses 108 meses de operação e, até mesmo antes disso, já que fomos responsáveis pelo projeto desde a engenharia, aquisição de bens e serviços, construção, mobilização e instalação dos módulos do FPSO. São equipes em terra e no mar, unidas em um só time, que seguem contribuindo para os bons resultados da unidade. 👩💼👷🏿 A embarcação, construída a partir da conversão do casco de um navio tipo VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier) foi nossa quarta unidade projetada para o pré-sal Brasileiro e está instalada no Campo de Lula, na Bacia de Santos. O MV26 tem capacidade de processar, por dia, 150.000 barris de petróleo e 280 milhões de pés cúbicos padrão de gás, e de armazenar 1.600.000 barris de petróleo. 🛢️ Nosso reconhecimento a todos que, com dedicação e competência, colaboram para esta jornada do nosso FPSO Cidade de Itaguaí MV26! 💙 :: Join us in celebrating the ninth anniversary of the first oil from the FPSO Cidade de Itaguaí MV26! 🎉 Amidst embarking and disembarking, challenges and achievements, many life stories have intertwined aboard the MV26 over these 108 months of operation, and even before that, as we were responsible for the project from engineering, procurement, construction, mobilization, and installation of the FPSO modules. Onshore and Offshore teams, united as one, continue contributing to the good results of this unit. 👩💼👷🏿 The vessel, built from the conversion of a VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier) hull, was our fourth unit designed for the Brazilian pre-salt and is installed in the Lula Field, in the Santos Basin.
