Commending the Rappahannock High School baseball team.

WHEREAS, the Rappahannock High School baseball team won the Virginia High School League Class 1 state championship in June 2024; and

WHEREAS, the Rappahannock High School Raiders defeated the Chilhowie High School Warriors by a score of 6�5 to secure the victory; and

WHEREAS, the Rappahannock Raiders broke through the staunch Chilhowie defense with three runs in the fourth inning and held a 5�2 lead at the top of the seventh inning; and

WHEREAS, despite a rally by the Chilhowie Warriors to tie the game, the Rappahannock Raiders kept their composure, and Ethan White put the game away with a hit to left field in the bottom of the seventh inning; and

WHEREAS, the successful season is a tribute to the hard work and determination of all the student-athletes, the leadership and guidance of coaches and staff, and the enthusiastic support of friends, family members, and the entire Rappahannock High School community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Rappahannock High School baseball team hereby be commended on winning the Virginia High School League Class 1 state championship in 2024; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to James Bieger, head coach of the Rappahannock High School baseball team, as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the team's achievements and best wishes for the future.
