Requesting the Division of Highways name bridge number 52-054/00-000.75 (52A088), (39.56097, -80.72622) locally known as Crow Run Bridge, carrying CR 04 over Crow Run in Wetzel County, as the "PFC Jerry Lee Bassett Memorial Bridge".

Whereas, Jerry Lee Bassett was born on August 24,1945; and

Whereas, Jerry Lee Bassett was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church; and

Whereas, Jerry Lee Bassett worked for the CSX Railroad of Jacksonville, Florida; and

Whereas, Jerry Lee Bassett was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, where he earned Bronze Stars and the Vietnam Service Medal; and

Whereas, Sadly, Jerry Lee Bassett passed away on October 11, 2003; and

Whereas, Jerry Lee Bassett's life was an outstanding example of dedicated public service; and

Whereas, It is fitting that an enduring memorial be established to commemorate Jerry Lee Bassett's life and his contributions to our state and country; therefore, be it

Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:

That the Division of Highways is hereby requested to name bridge number 52-�054/00-�000.75 (52A088), (39.56097, -80.72622) locally known as Crow Run Bridge, carrying CR 04 over Crow Run in Wetzel County, as the "PFC Jerry Lee Bassett Memorial Bridge"; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Division of Highways is hereby requested to have made and be placed signs identifying the bridge as the "PFC Jerry Lee Bassett Memorial Bridge"; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the House forward a copy of this resolution to the Commissioner of the Division of Highways.
